Cosmopor® I.V.

The main function of Cosmopor I.V. transparent is the sterile and mechanical covering and fixation of cannulae/catheters. Cosmopor I.V. transparent allows visual control of the puncture site without dressing change thanks to the transparent film window. The waterproof characteristics of the film provide a barrier against water, bacterial penetration and external contaminants. The dressing facilitates the free passage of water vapour and gases, allowing the skin to breathe. The rounded corners prevent it from rolling up, while the high degree of adhesiveness and the included fixation strips allow the dressing to remain firmly in place during the wear time. The dressing conforms to body contours. Medical assessment of the puncture site and surrounding skin is needed to determine when the dressing needs to be changed
