Cosmopor® Waterproof is a sterile, single-use, self-adhesive wound dressing consisting of an adhesive-coated transparent polyurethane carrier material and a centrally positioned wound pad, protected by a release liner.
The carrier material is made of a water- and bacteria-proof, breathable polyurethane film coated with a medical-grade synthetic acrylic adhesive.
The wound pad consists of multiple layers, including a wound contact layer made of fine-meshed polyethylene net that prevents adhesion to the wound, and an absorbent layer made of viscose for effective exudate absorption. Rapid exudate transfer is supported by the drainage effect of the micro-mesh structure.
The dressing provides reliable protection against external influences while remaining breathable and waterproof. It offers high absorbency and good cushioning properties without sticking to the wound.
Cosmopor® Waterproof is skin-friendly due to its hypoallergenic adhesive. IM = internal measurement
