The sterile, single-use, coated foam dressing with a gas-permeable, waterproof and bacteria-resistant outer layer of polyurethane.
Due to its structure, HydroTac® can absorb wound exudate and release moisture. This provides the necessary moist wound environment which has a stimulating effect on wound healing. The non-border dressing can be cut into the desired size. For fixation please use a suitable secondary dressing.
The wound-facing surface of the dressing has a mesh structure and is impregnated with a hydrogel that acts as a moisture reservoir. The gel consists of a hydrated polyurea/polyurethane hybrid polymer containing propylene glycol. The gel on the side of the wound-contact layer prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound. It enables an atraumatic dressing change.
