The non-woven slit swabs can be used to provide padding and protection and to absorb exudating body fluids (e.g. blood) when a needle or similar skin penetrating device is inserted into the human body. The product may be used in combination with catheters, cannulas and fixation material such as bandages, fixations, and tapes.
