Module 1 - Basic knowledge of surface hygiene

Surfaces in healthcare facilities are often contaminated with potentially pathogenic germs. There is a risk of colonization and infection for our patients through the transmission of these pathogens.

High-touch surfaces are important to recognize as well as the difference between route and targeted disinfection.

This surface hygiene training is a series of 3 modules that build on each other.

In module 1 ""Basics of konowledge of surface hygiene"", you will learn:

• high-touch surfaces and the transmission of pathogens
• the difference between surface disinfection and cleaning
• indications for surface disinfection
• routine and targeted disinfection"

This module is certified.

This is the first of 3 modules and we recommend to finish it before starting with module 2 and 3 in this training series.
