Cotton drapes were once the industry standard – washed, reused, and gradually losing performance with every cycle. Real progress began in 1976 when HARTMANN introduced non-woven and laminate materials for sterile, single-use drapes.
Half a century on, the modern surgical drape contributes to infection prevention, OR efficiency, safer workflows and improved surgical outcomes. Foliodrape® has helped shape that evolution from the start, in continuous exchange with OR teams.
And the next chapter is already being written – in new materials, in solutions for advanced surgical techniques, in drapes designed for the OR of tomorrow.
What I strive for is the perfect drape for every procedure – one that brings together everything the surgical team needs, including features no one has even thought of yet.
A drape that’s ready in just a few simple movements. Nothing more, but nothing less.
