RespoSorb® Silicone Border is a SAP dressing with a silicone adhesive border for the treatment of acute and chronic wounds, for all levels of exudate.

RespoSorb® Silicone Border benefits from a transparent silicone border that protects the peri wound skin and is designed to keep the peri wound area visible, which can be cut to aid application when needed. In addition, RespoSorb® Silicone Border features a backing film which is showerproof, breathable, bacteria and viral proof.

Application

Application

  • Cleanse the wound according to clinical practice. Make sure that the surrounding skin is dry and clean to ensure that the dressing sticks.
  • Select the dressing’s size and shape, so that the green absorbent pad exceeds the wound edges by approx. 1 to 2 cm.
  • Do not cut the green absorbent pad. The transparent border can be cut to adapt the dressing to specific body areas.
  • Remove the protective sheets according to the application instructions. Apply the adherent side to the wound with the green side facing away.
  • Press down the adhesive edges firmly and avoid wrinkles in the border to ensure the dressing stays securely in place.
  • No additional fixation is required. If indicated, compression bandages can be applied as instructed by a clinician.
  • The dressing can remain on the wound for up to 7 days, depending on the condition of the wound and the clinician’s instructions.
  • The dressing must be changed if clinically indicated or when exudate approached the rim of the green absorbent pad.
