Zetuvit® Plus Silicone

Superabsorbent dressing with a silicone interface

Zetuvit® Plus Silicone offers highly effective exudate management and undisturbed wound healing.2

The blend of cellulose fluff and fluid retaining superabsorbent particles (SAP) means Zetuvit® Plus Silicone, like our Zetuvit® Plus dressing, is particularly suitable for treating superficial, heavily exuding acute and chronic wounds. In addition, Zetuvit® Plus Silicone is the perfect alternative when a wound requires atraumatic dressing change through its soft silicone contact layer. No additional contact layer is needed with Zetuvit® Plus Silicone.

Under compression use

Zetuvit® Plus Silicone is ideal for use under compression through its excellent absorbency4, retention4 and fluid repellent backing to help prevent strikethrough.

Absorption and Retention – a comparison [2,3,4]

Rated 98% “Excellent” or “Good” by clinicians

In a study, Zetuvit® Plus Silicone was rated either excellent or good by 98% of clinicians for exudate management. Zetuvit® Plus Silicone was able to successfully manage all wound types and exudates level, even when used under compression.

In the same study, for use under compression alone, Zetuvit® Plus Silicone was rated 95% “excellent” by clinicians.

Undisturbed wound healing [2]

In a study, 100% of clinicians agreed with the statement that Zetuvit® Plus Silicone maintained an environment of undisturbed wound healing2.

Cost-effective exudate management

In a cost evaluation, Zetuvit® Plus Silicone proved highly cost effective when compared to other standard dressings. Over a 6-month period, a cost saving of £222 per patient was made across patients with moderate to high exuding leg ulcers – patients living within the United Kingdom.

Patient friendly

Zetuvit® Plus Silicone offers excellent patient comfort and improved quality of life for your patients - improving patient self-confidence through a reduction in odour, leakage, or strikethrough.

The charts below reflect how Zetuvit® Plus Silicone preformed in a recent study with clinicians and patients.

The World Union of Wound Healing Societies (WUWHS) Consensus Document: Wound exudate, effective assessment and management

Superabsorbent dressings offer multiple benefits1,2 a select few being:

Optimise wound bed moisture level

Reducing MMP activity

Maintaining fluid retention capacity under compression

Protect the surrounding skin

Preventing leakage

Reducing risk of skin damage during dressing change

Dressings with a silicone layer, such as Zetuvit® Plus Silicone, offer atraumatic removal through their silicone layer.1

Manage symptoms and improve the patient’s quality of life
