RespoSorb Silicone

The silicone layer in contact with the wound allows easy application and almost painless, atraumatic removal. The absorbent pad absorbs and retains the exudate.

RespoSorb Silicone is a dressing for the treatment of moderate to highly exuding, acute and chronic wounds.

RespoSorb® Silicone absorbs and retains up to high levels of exudate in the absorbent pad. The micro-adherent, silicone interface prevents the dressing from slipping and facilitates its application. The dressing changes can be carried out atraumatically and almost painlessly.

RespoSorb® Silicone can be used in context of compression therapy.

Application

Cleanse the wound according to clinical practice. Make sure that the surrounding skin is dry and clean to ensure that the dressing sticks.
Select the dressing’s size and shape, so that the dressing exceeds the wound edges by approx. 1 to 2 cm.
Do not cut the dressing.
Remove the protective sheets according to the application instructions. Apply the adherent side to the wound with the green side facing away.
Secure the dressing using e.g. a Peha-haft bandage or any other suitable fixation, or, if necessary, with compression bandages as instructed by a clinician.
The dressing can remain on the wound for up to 7 days, depending on the condition of the wound and the clinician’s instructions.
The dressing must be changed if clinically indicated or when exudate approaches the edge of the dressing.
