Self-adhesive, sterile and semi permeable wound dressing consisting of a non-woven backing material (carrier material) and a wound pad, both coated with a silicone adhesive perforated layer and protected with a film. The main constituents of these products are:
The backing / carrier material: white non-woven.
The medical grade adhesive: silicone adhesive.
The wound pad with three different layers: a first wound contact layer made of a polyethylene net, a second exudate transmission layer made of viscose, and a third absorbent layer made of an air-laid non-woven with superabsorbent fibers.
Film: protective plastic layer in contact with the adhesive side of the device.
