HARTMANN invests 40 million euros in the Heidenheim region

Amount goes into modernization of production facilities for incontinence products

Heidenheim, 18.11.2021. As part of its transformation program, the HARTMANN GROUP will invest a total of approximately 40 million euros in the production site at Herbrechtingen between 2021 and 2023. 20 million will be used for a new production line and a further 20 million euros for the modernization of existing facilities and infrastructure.

"Our transformation program focuses on innovations and improving our costs position. By modernizing production in Herbrechtingen, HARTMANN is strengthening its competitiveness in an important product group. We are improving the properties of our products and at the same time reducing manufacturing costs. The decision to place the new line in Herbrechtingen is a clear long-term commitment to the site," explains Britta Fuenfstueck, CEO of the HARTMANN GROUP. More than 2,200 HARTMANN employees work in Heidenheim and Herbrechtingen, approx. 650 of them in production and logistics.

"This decision is a milestone for HARTMANN's incontinence business. We are modernizing our product range to target more strongly the growing and strategically important end-consumer market," adds Stefan Grote, responsible for Incontinence Management on the Management Board.
