Compreflex® Standard Calf

Inelastic wraps are compression therapy devices used on the lower leg. Compression therapy improves venous return, which reduces venous edema. It is primarily used in the initial decongestion phase of pronounced venous edema as an alternative to wrapping with bandages. This medical device is intended for multiple use and non-sterile.

Individually packed reusable calf wrap that includes a pair of basic liners and accutab for pressure measurement.

The Compreflex® Standard Calf is an inelastic product that provides
precise compression ranges of 21–46 mmHg thanks to the use of the
Accutab®. The product is combined with a pair of basic liners to protect
the skin.

Application

Donning the Compreflex® Standard Calf
1. Pull the liner (included) evenly over your heel and distribute the knitted section evenly over the leg. The optimum fit of the liner is achieved when it finishes 2 finger widths below the back of the knee.
2. Before applying, unfold each hook fastener on the product to its full length, roll the ends back, and secure them there so that they cannot get tangled. Slide the foot into the opening between the elastic insert and the product and pull the product up to just below the knee, but no further than the liner. The textile label is located on the top at the back of the leg and faces outward.
3. Carefully position the two lowest hook straps over the leg and fasten them without applying compression. The hook fasteners should overlap as little as possible but do not leave a gap between the hook fasteners. Press the ends of the fasteners firmly to the
sides. Continue positioning the remaining hook fasteners in the same way and fix them in place.
4. Apply the Accutabs: your prescribing physician should tell you which compression range is best for you. Apply the Accutabs
accordingly and then close the hook fasteners as directed (refer to the Accutab® instructions for use).
Doffing the Compreflex® Standard Calf
For doffing, loosen each hook fastener, roll their ends backwards, and
secure them there so that they cannot get tangled. Remove the product
from the leg and take off the liner.
