INFORM | FIRST HALF YEAR OF 2021

NOT ALWAYS EASY, BUT THE RIGHT THING: HARTMANN REMAINS ON COURSEWITH THE TRANS- FORMATION PROGRAM AND PLANS TO REORGANIZE WOUND MANAGEMENT PRODUCTION Editor: HARTMANN launched its five-year Transformation Program in 2019 and has been steadily driving it forward ever since. How do you rate the program and the progress made so far? Müller: The transformation of HARTMANN is essential for the long-term success of the Company and its employees. On the one hand, we are facing a very challenging market and com- petitive environment, and on the other hand, trends that we can use as opportunities. Both developments accelerated and intensified during the pandemic last year and this year. Exam- ples include increasing cost pressure in the healthcare sector, digitization in the healthcare industry and the expansion of out- patient care. These changes confirm that we made the right decision with our strategic realignment. Our transformation will secure our future. That's why it's important that we stay on the ball now. So far, we have made the expected progress in all the main projects of the Transformation Program. We are on the right track. Remaining competitive by improving production costs: As part of its strategic Transformation Program, HARTMANN is realigning its production in the Wound Management segment in response to increasing cost pressure in the healthcare sector. Plans include a new production site in Poland, the closure of production for Wound Management in Heidenheim and the relocation of a production line from Neuhausen (Switzerland). We spoke with Stefan Müller, CFO of the HARTMANN GROUP, about this and how the transformation will secure HARTMANN's future. In conversation with Stefan Müller, CFO HARTMANN GROUP
