The HARTMANN GROUP is a company with international operations in the field of medical and healthcare products. The core of our portfolio is made up of professional system solutions in three key segments: Wound Management, Incontinence Management and Infection Management. Geographically HARTMANN is represented by its own subsidiary companies close to its customers in strategically important markets. The company, whose priority market is Europe, employs 10,220 staff worldwide and generated sales of EUR 1,758 million in 2012. (status: as at 31.12.2012).

The focus is on products and services for professional users in hospitals and medical practices as well as in old people's and nursing homes or homecare services. In addition to the medical core ranges for professional target groups in the field of medicine and healthcare, HARTMANN also provides OTC products for end consumers sold through pharmacies and medical supply stores.
The Wound Management segment comprises traditional and modern wound dressings, bandages for compression therapy and functional therapy or immobilization, specifically designed treatment sets for a broad range of medical applications and the Vivano negative-pressure wound therapy system. These product lines are rounded out by First Aid kits and diagnostic products such as clinical thermometers and blood pressure monitors.
In the Incontinence Management segment, the focus is on absorbent products worn close to the body, such as briefs, pads and pants, as well as products for use as additional bed protection, such as underpads. This segment also includes disposable products for patient care, such as wash gloves and bibs, and medical skincare products for stressed skin. Alongside its products, HARTMANN also offers integrated solutions for old people’s and nursing homes with services ranging from training seminars and controlling instruments to the disposal of used incontinence products.
The Infection Management segment embraces our ranges of disposable operating theater drapes, clothing, surgical absorbents and disposable surgical instruments. Other integrated operating room solutions include innovative solutions, such as the HARTMANN delivery service (HLS) or individually designed custom procedure trays. Disinfectants and cleaning agents as well as examination gloves round out our range of products and services for comprehensive infection prophylaxis.
Other Group Activities comprises our activities in cosmetic cotton-wool products, first aid, Kneipp product lines and retail business.
Worldwide presence through subsidiaries and foreign distributors

With subsidiaries of its own, HARTMANN enjoys an international presence close to its customers. In terms of organization they are allocated to five geographical sales regions, with responsibility for sales and earnings kept close to the respective market. The focal point of our activities is Europe, though HARTMANN also operates in America, as well as the regions Africa, Asia, and Oceania.
HARTMANN is present in the most important countries with its own sales and production companies. In other markets we cooperate with distribution partners to achieve our desired market coverage.
In Germany, the HARTMANN GROUP includes, among others, the companies BODE Chemie/Hamburg, Karl Otto Braun/Wolfstein, Sanimed/Ibbenbüren and Kneipp/Würzburg.
