Stephan Schulz appointed new Chief Financial Officer

2009-05-19 Stephan Schulz has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of PAUL HARTMANN AG. He will take up his position on the Board on August 1, 2009. His responsibilities will include Finance, Controlling, Human Resources, Investor Relations as well as Internal Auditing and Risk Management.

Stephan Schulz was born in Berlin in 1965. After completing his training at Reuschel & Co, a private bank, he studied Business Administration at Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. From 1994 to 2000 he was a Management Consultant for Arthur D. Little International in the mechanical and plant engineering sector.

In 2001, Schulz joined Eckart GmbH, a specialty chemical company and subsidiary of Altana AG, as Managing Director and CFO. In addition to his role as CFO, he was operationally responsible for the Plastics and Cosmetics divisions as well as for the pearl luster pigment production site in Finland.

Stephan Schulz and his partner are parents of a three-year old boy. In his spare time Mr. Schulz enjoys triathlon.
